BIRRIFICIO BALADIN
Baladin brewery means quality, research, sustainability and passion.
Baladin beer is the most known craft beer in Italy.
Founded in 1996 by the brewer Teo Musso, Baladin brewery produces 33 types of beers exported to 50 countries around the world; located in a property of 73,000 square meters in Piozzo, Piemont-the land of Barolo.
Background
The customer needed to design a state-of-the-art brewery suitable for craft production characterized by flexibility to meet the demands of domestic market with a nominal production capacity of 50,000 hectoliters per year.
The main goal of the project was to create an innovative brewery designed to preserve the integrity of the raw material, keeping the beer not pasteurized. A facility that can always be visited by the public, even during production, to ensure maximum transparency.
Customer needs
Inside a brewery it is essential to manage at best the flows of liquids and ensure maximum sterility.
Inside the plant there are systems that do not have an obvious visual impact but which are essential for producing quality beer such as the valves that manage the flows of liquids carried by the pipes.
Baladin needed valves designed to facilitate sanitization by reducing the risk of contamination to zero.
Bardiani Valvole solution
The technical and commercial team of Bardiani Valvole in close collaboration with the designers of Baladin chose BZAW3 double seal valve, as best choice for the customer.
BZAW3 is a double seal valve, designed to ensure a safe separation between two fluids.
The special design of the shutter provides a separation chamber between the two seals. This ensures that any product leaks flow out through the two auxiliary valves located on the separation chamber, avoiding any contact between the two fluids.
To strengthen the brewery’s identity, Bardiani Valvole has created Giotto Top control units customized with the customer’s logo.
